Cannon Beach Adventurous Couples Session | Lexi & Micah | Part 1

Lexi & Micah’s elopement day started out with a sunrise session. I absolutely LOVED the reasoning behind this — they decided that they wouldn’t want to spend the majority of their wedding day with anyone but each other. Starting out so early also stretched the day out for them even more which was a bonus (heads up: your wedding FLIES BY so I love that they spent the morning together to really relish in every minute of their day!)

We met up before daybreak at Devil’s Cauldron trailhead and took the super short hike out to this stunning overlook. We had the whole place to ourselves that early, so we played music, explored, and soaked in the beauty all around us. Personally, I’m so in awe that God creates places that look like this.

From there, we headed out to Cannon Beach to finish out their morning session at the iconic Haystack Rock. You can’t go about eloping in Cannon Beach without at least going to SEE Haystack Rock (will share photos of that portion of their session in part 2).

Their adventure session ended up being the perfect way to see a few amazing sights they hadn’t yet gotten to venture out to. After the session, we parted ways so they could begin getting ready for their Cape Kiwanda elopement ceremony at sunset (and let me tell ya… it was AMAZING.) You can see more on that here.

All in all, what an incredible day. I can’t put into words how honored I am that this Texas wedding photographer got to fly out to Oregon and photograph such an incredible weekend (wedding video to come soon as well).
